From history paths, the ways to reach the East

In the archaeological sites along the routes of the ancient Rome roads, the journey tendency together with the reaching of the farthest places are restored. This tendency represents nowadays - more than ever - a metaphor of this feeling that includes different cultures, typical of the European citizens. The competition aim is to stimulate the youth to engage in the narration, through images or words, and with the production of creative works (tales, poems, photographs, short films) on the common history that generates the European identity.

The subject of the competition is From history paths, the ways to reach the East. It will admit works which tell about the historical and metaphoric paths in order to define an inclusive European culture: the Roman ways, the archaeological sites, the historical, artistic and cultural finds and the reconstruction of the collective historical memory to research the founding principles of the European Union.
