A PART OF THE URBAN STRUCTURE

In this rectangular building ground were excavated part of cluster of houses among which three roads were passing through (fig. 6). The first street with 2,50m width had a SW to NE direction. From both sides of this street, the east and the west, were excavated two buildings, four in total. Under the street a pipe was going through for the cleaning of which there were sewers that were covered with large stone slabs. The second street which was linked to the first one was directed from SE to NW, its width was 1,20m and its pipe was preserved too. To this second street ended the third one which directed from SW to NE (1,50m width) and was parallel to the first street. From the east side of the street was the fourth building and another one while from the west side of the street was discovered a part of a large building, probably a public one. The others were houses and had several building phases that dated from the first roman years but the main one was the 2nd century A.D. In the floors of few buildings mosaics were revealed that were kept in situ buried along with the buildings.
